Inner Style or In Her Style
I'm Going To Make Everything Beautiful…
That Will Be My Life -unknown
Flying home from Thanksgiving in Chicago, this writing came to mind.
Family is simple (yet baffling), maddening, hysterical and beautiful. It’s like being in a city you want to love, but can’t quite navigate. Why are there not better road maps? How did I get here? I must have taken a wrong turn and ended up in "rough conversation territory". This can lead to earning a serious speaking infraction or worse.
Being with people I love, makes me to pay attention to who I'm being. How I “show up” as a sister, mother, wife, daughter and woman means something to me. Over the past 6 years, I’ve done a lot of introspection and personal work. With the help of loving, patient family and friends, caring paid professionals and my willingness to endure personal painful discomfort, I now believe my path is a joyful one.
What’s your path? It’s one of the first questions I LOVE to ask my clients. What’s next for you? If you could be doing anything right now, what would it be? These thoughts are very much a part of the person you project to the world. Your appearance is the final touches to what you’re up to inside.
I am not a therapist, although one of my clients writes “Wardrobe Therapy” when making note of a check, but I have experienced the gift of “getting” that I needed to take a hard look at myself and my vision for a life, so that at the end of the day I find myself grateful. I believe, this experience is a plus when working closely with people, in any capacity.
In the end, I am passionate about personal vision. I love to have fun and not take certain things too seriously. Working with my clients and experiencing them happy, is a blast. Getting, that they like who and where they are, makes my day.
There’s more to style than meets the eye…. it goes all the way to your heart.
Love,
Laurel
